A man in a bright blue hoodie smiles warmly, seated by a wooden shelf. Behind him glows a bold painting alive with fiery orange lines flowing like roots over a deep teal sea. A glass bottle holds dried branches, framed dog portraits stand nearby, and a soft round pet bed rests below, the scene humming with warmth, art, and companionship.

ABOUT

Ivan Trujillo

There was a time in my creative journey when I felt overwhelmed — not by a lack of ideas, but by the pace of life and the noise around me. As an artist and designer, I knew how powerful the act of creating could be, but I didn't yet understand how deeply drawing and painting could calm the mind and reconnect me with myself.

Through years of artistic exploration, personal healing, and experimentation, I discovered that drawing and painting slowly, intentionally, and without pressure was more than just relaxing — it was transformational. That realization led me to create a meditative drawing practice that anyone can do, regardless of skill level.

I believe art is for everyone — not just to admire, but to experience. My mission now is to help others access the quiet, focus, and inner peace that meditative drawing can offer. Whether you’re dealing with stress, seeking creative flow, or simply want to be more present, this practice can meet you where you are.

That's why I offer simple tools, guided sessions, and thoughtfully designed resources — all to help you draw your way back to calm.

Because when the world gets noisy, the pen becomes a path inward.

READ WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

A woman with curly hair glances back with a soft smile in this black-and-white photo. She sits outdoors near a body of water, exuding a sense of quiet reflection and warmth. The urban background and her gentle expression create a peaceful and contemplative mood.

"Ivan's drawing is a special addition to our collection. I chose a black and white drawing for its simplicity and strong graphic quality. I love the strength of the black lines and bold forms from a distance in tandem with the loose organic quality of the intersecting nets and balloon shapes when viewed up close. Thank you!"
~Hope M., San Francisco, California

A man with a bandana smiles as he holds two large bouquets of flowers in both hands. His expression is joyful, and the flowers, full of texture and life, add to the warmth of the scene. The background suggests an outdoor or casual environment, and the energy he radiates is one of enthusiasm and happiness.

"Ivan is an artist at heart and strives to succeed in creating meaningful, thoughtful, inspiring, and beautiful works of art. I have known Ivan for twenty years and sold his art at my boutique in Atlanta. He was working on his master’s at SCAD, and I saw some of his art projects from start to finish. All of them, inspired by his interactions with people, places, and things, then created into art that appealed to a broad spectrum of people and their own experiences. Since moving to San Francisco, his art has evolved and given birth to an intricate unique style that is his own and will be recognized as “a Trujillo”".
John McDonald, Atlanta, GA

CREATIVE RITUALS, VISUAL JOURNALS & MEDITATIVE INSIGHTS FROM IVAN TRUJILLO

Like the sun etched in emerald, this drawing radiates from its core. At the center, a dense cluster of tiny, pebble-like forms fans outward into fine green rays, each line pulsing like energy waves. Around it, cracked patterns resemble parched earth or veins of life, bordered by oval cells alive with texture, echoing nature’s infinite rhythm.

I Found Stillness—Without Meditation or Sitting Cross-Legged

Ivan Trujillo

A black-and-white drawing that sings in textures—an ocean of circles swelling into a cloud of bubbles, each orb pressing against the next like whispered secrets. Beneath, waves curl in endless repetition, crescents stacked like prayers. At the bottom, a woven lattice emerges, a fabric of order balancing chaos. The forms speak in rhythm, a symphony of contrasts etched in ink.

When Your Brain Won’t Chill, Try Drawing This Instead

Ivan Trujillo

A drawing of breathless rhythm—white space alive with dancing dots of crimson red. They scatter and cluster, like constellations spilled across paper, yet drift into wavy rivers of motion. Each mark hums with pulse and persistence, whispering both chaos and calm, a heartbeat painted into form.
